A New Chapter in the Rendez-Vous Story. Jaeger-LeCoultre invites its collectors to witness a shooting star with every turn of the wrist through the Rendez-Vous Jewellery Shooting Star. This poetic complication, first unveiled in 2022, now appears in a new high-jewellery edition crafted in 18-carat pink gold and fully set with diamonds. Limited to just ten pieces, it captures the maison’s tradition of mechanical innovation and artistic finesse.
The Case and Dial
The 36-millimetre case measures 11.11 millimetres in thickness, offering an elegant yet substantial presence, and provides water resistance up to 50 metres. Its dial unfolds across three intricate layers: a transparent sapphire disc painted with delicate motifs, a rotating mother-of-pearl disc bearing a star silhouette, and a fixed base disc with a softly graded background to suggest the luminous trail of the star.
The Movement
At the heart of this performance is the automatic Calibre 734, developed and produced entirely in-house. With a power reserve of 70 hours, it orchestrates the unpredictable passage of the shooting star across the dial, a complication that fuses wonder with technical mastery.
Diamonds and Jewellery Design
In the pink-gold edition, diamonds accentuate every detail. The watch is adorned with 625 brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 6.31 carats, set across the bezel, lugs, crown, case sides, dial, and fully integrated bracelet. The spectacle is not only visual but tactile, with each gem meticulously chosen and set to enhance brilliance without compromising wearability.
Crafted at Métiers Rares™
Each of these limited-edition watches is created within Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Atelier des Métiers Rares™, where miniature painting, gem-setting, and traditional crafts converge. The pink peonies on the sapphire disc are hand-painted in nine shades of pink, requiring more than 110 hours of meticulous artistry.
