Piaget | Altiplano 910P
Ultra-Thin
Few names in haute horlogerie are as closely linked to ultra-thin watchmaking as Piaget. Since the introduction of the legendary 9P movement in 1957, the maison has pursued mechanical slimness with relentless innovation. The Altiplano 910P, unveiled in 2018, became one of the thinnest self-winding watches in the world. Today, the story continues with a striking new edition: the Altiplano 910P Khaki Green, reference G0A50126, presented in 18K yellow gold with a bold new aesthetic.
Case and Proportions
The case measures 41 mm in diameter and just 4.3 mm in thickness, a remarkable feat of engineering made possible by integrating the caseback into the movement architecture. Crafted in polished yellow gold, it is paired with a khaki green alligator strap, a combination that exudes both refinement and modern flair.
Movement Built into the Case
At the heart of the 910P lies Piaget’s in-house Calibre 910P, a movement that redefines construction by merging the calibre and case into a single unit. This inventive design eliminates unnecessary layers, allowing for an astonishingly thin profile without sacrificing durability. The calibre is fitted with a peripheral rotor that winds the movement discreetly from the edge, preserving the visual harmony of the dial and bridges.
Operating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offering a 48-hour power reserve, the 910P exemplifies Piaget’s technical mastery while maintaining a poetic visual balance between gears, wheels, and bridges.
Effortlessly elegant
The khaki green surface of the dial extends across both the central hours and minutes display as well as the bridges of the movement. Contrasting textures and polished bevels lend the watch a sculptural depth, while the visible mechanics remind the wearer of the ingenuity within. Cross-shaped screws, a Piaget signature, provide subtle visual rhythm to the architecture.
This khaki green edition was launched alongside the Altiplano Ultimate Concept Tourbillon, both united by the maison’s green-and-gold design language. While the Tourbillon represents Piaget’s most experimental horology, the Altiplano 910P Khaki Green offers a refined and wearable interpretation of ultra-thin complexity. It is, in many ways, the perfect expression of Piaget’s philosophy: pushing technical boundaries while remaining effortlessly elegant.
The Piaget Altiplano 910P Khaki Green demonstration of how engineering, design, and artistry can merge seamlessly into one. At once daring and understated, it is a creation for collectors who value refinement, rarity, and intellectual craftsmanship.
The Altiplano 910P Khaki Green is a carefully crafted expression of Piaget’s savoir-faire. Discover more about this exceptional timepiece on Piaget’s official website.
