Unveiled by Louis Vuitton’s high jewellery atelier on Place Vendôme, the Aster necklace is the maison’s most precious bespoke creation to date, designed by Francesca Amfitheatrof and intended for a discreet private client.
A radiant constellation of 23 Kashmir sapphires and LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds set in platinum, the Louis Vuitton Aster necklace glows with celestial elegance.
Composed of 23 superb Kashmir sapphires totaling over 125 carats, featuring a 17.88-carat untreated central stone with velvety-blue depth and exceptional transparency.
These rare gems were collected over more than two decades, each selected for perfect harmony in color, shape, and clarity.
The Louis Vuitton Aster necklace displayed in its bespoke blue alligator trunk, designed with mirrored panels and compartments, echoing the maison’s signature travel heritage.
The sapphires are arranged in graduated sizes, interspersed with LV Monogram Star‑cut diamonds, evoking the sparkling celestial tapestry of the night sky.
Each sapphire and diamond is set in a custom-made platinum basket, adorned with subtle “V” motifs and set with openwork for maximum light play—a seamless and flexible construction that drapes like silk.
An artisan hand-painting the initial gouache design of the Louis Vuitton Aster necklace, capturing the placement of Kashmir sapphires and LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds before the crafting begins.
The montage and finish demanded over 1,500 hours of meticulous craftsmanship, uniting design, gem-setting, and polishing in flawless harmony.
