Cartier Brussels Boutique Awarded 2025 Prix Versailles Special Prize for an Interior

Cartier’s Brussels boutique has been awarded the 2025 Prix Versailles “Special Prize for an Interior” in the Most Beautiful Emporiums category, a distinction that recognizes exceptional architecture and design that enhance the living environment. Announced at UNESCO in Paris, the prize highlights interiors that bring together cultural relevance, refinement, and contemporary creativity — values integral to Cartier’s global retail philosophy.

Situated within a historic building in the Belgian capital, the boutique establishes a dialogue between nature and architecture while reflecting the Maison’s longstanding commitment to craftsmanship. The interior has been shaped as a showcase for Cartier’s collections, with the project bringing together the work of more than ten artisans and craftspeople. Their expertise spans stained glass, woodwork, textiles, sculpture, marble, painting, and marquetry, transforming the boutique into a cohesive “Garden of Métiers d’Art.”

The renovation was designed by Studio Friedmann et Versace, whose approach merges architectural history with modern sensibility. Soft palettes, natural textures, and artisanal surfaces define the space, while carefully curated artworks and bespoke elements contribute to an atmosphere of quiet luxury. The result is an environment that honors both local heritage and the Maison’s distinct aesthetic codes.

With this recognition from the Prix Versailles, the Cartier Brussels boutique stands as an example of how thoughtful design, craftsmanship, and cultural context can shape the future of luxury retail architecture.
