Sotheby’s Partners with Ritz-Carlton for Exclusive Travel Experiences in Asia

Sotheby’s has announced a collaboration with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, presenting two exclusive travel experiences in Japan and China that combine cultural discovery with refined hospitality. The itineraries are offered as part of Sotheby’s luxury auctions, giving collectors the opportunity to bid on more than art alone.

In Japan, the journey begins with four nights shared between The Ritz-Carlton, Tokyo and The Ritz-Carlton, Nikko. Guests will experience Tokyo’s glittering skyline and the cedar-clad landscapes of Nikko, complemented by a master-led tour of Japan’s seafood markets, a bespoke cocktail session, and a private meditation ceremony at one of the country’s oldest temples.

The China itinerary includes one night in Chengdu followed by three nights at Rissai Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Jiuzhaigou. Surrounded by the mist-covered valleys and dramatic peaks of Sichuan’s Min Mountains, guests will enjoy tailored experiences designed to highlight both the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region.

For collectors and travelers alike, this partnership illustrates a seamless blend of art, travel, and lifestyle. Sotheby’s expands the definition of luxury beyond objects of rarity, offering journeys that reflect both cultural depth and the beauty of exclusive living.
