Mappin & Webb Opens High Jewellery Showroom in Manchester
The Watches of Switzerland Group has announced the grand opening of Mappin & Webb’s newest showroom in Manchester, marking a significant milestone for the brand. Located in St Ann’s Square — long regarded as the city’s historic jewellery quarter — the new flagship becomes the largest Mappin & Webb showroom to date.
Iconic Luxury
The showroom offers clients a best-in-class luxury retail experience, bringing together some of the world’s most prestigious jewellery houses. Highlights include De Beers, which has opened its first boutique outside of London, and the UK’s exclusive collection of David Yurman. Visitors will also find handcrafted Italian creations from Roberto Coin, alongside renowned maisons such as FOPE, Messika, Chopard, and Fabergé.
Mappin & Webb also presents its own signature collection, including bespoke pieces overseen by the Crown Jeweller — a role the house has held since 2017.
Heritage and Modernity
Designed to celebrate both tradition and innovation, the new boutique embodies the Watches of Switzerland Group’s vision of custodianship in luxury. Its elegant interiors combine heritage-rich details with contemporary design, offering an environment that reflects craftsmanship, artistry, and modern refinement.
The opening is more than a retail expansion — it signals Manchester’s growing importance in the luxury landscape. Long celebrated for its jewellery heritage, St Ann’s Square provides the perfect setting for this new destination. With the arrival of Mappin & Webb’s largest showroom, the city strengthens its position as a northern hub for international high jewellery.
Craig Bolton, UK President of Watches of Switzerland Group, described the launch as “a pivotal moment” for the brand and a flagship investment that reaffirms their long-term commitment to multi-brand luxury retailing in the region.
A Milestone for British Luxury
For Mappin & Webb, a jeweller with a heritage dating back to 1775, this expansion is both a continuation of legacy and a bold step into the future. Blending history, innovation, and the finest in jewellery artistry, the new showroom sets a new benchmark for luxury in the UK.
