Ferragamo Spring/Summer 2026
Under the creative vision of Maximilian Davis, Ferragamo presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Milan, reaffirming the house’s ability to merge history with modernity through exceptional craftsmanship. Davis, who has quickly established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary fashion, looked back to the 1920s for inspiration, an era of cultural energy and experimentation that resonates with his own approach to design. At the heart of the collection is a study of texture and movement. Silk crepe, satin devoré, chiffon, and lace are worked into dresses that suggest lightness while retaining a sense of structure. Leopard motifs, inspired by a 1925 photograph of silent film actress Lola Todd dressed entirely in the print, appeared throughout the show, reinterpreted as devoré silks and refined jacquards. Accessories extended this language: handbags were crafted in woven leather or stamped crocodile, some finished with patent sheen, while shoes ranged from satin mules to sharply designed caged pumps. Each detail underscores the house’s heritage in leatherwork and its dedication to precise making.
Menswear and womenswear were in dialogue, with tailoring that softened rigid codes. Jackets opened into skirted extensions, trousers were cut with ease, and cummerbund-like sashes added fluidity to otherwise formal looks. The craftsmanship was evident not only in tailoring but also in the embroidery and layering of fabrics—techniques that demand time, discipline, and the expertise of the Ferragamo ateliers. Accessories and finishing touches were designed not as decoration, but as integral parts of each silhouette, reinforcing Davis’s belief in coherence and intention.
Presented during Milan Fashion Week, the show offered an atmosphere that mirrored the collection itself: refined, confident, and precise. Davis’s work is not about spectacle for its own sake, but about giving new form to heritage, anchoring Ferragamo firmly in the present without losing its deep sense of identity. In Spring/Summer 2026, the house continues to celebrate exclusivity and craftsmanship at the highest level, guided by a designer who understands that true modernity begins with respect for making.
