The Eternal Pink Diamond
Discovered in 2019 as a 23.78-carat rough from Botswana’s Damtshaa mine, The Eternal Pink is one of the most coveted diamonds of the 21st century. After six months of meticulous work by Diacore’s master cutters in New York, the crystal was transformed into a 10.57-carat cushion-cut masterpiece of unrivalled saturation.
Graded Fancy Vivid Purplish-Pink by the GIA, Internally Flawless, and belonging to the rare Type IIa category, the stone exhibits a vibrancy so striking that industry insiders affectionately call it the “bubblegum diamond.” Its intensity, clarity, and purity place it in an echelon few gems have ever reached.
In June 2023, Sotheby’s New York offered the diamond at its Magnificent Jewels sale. After a global exhibition tour through Hong Kong, Dubai, Singapore, Shanghai, Taiwan, and Geneva, The Eternal Pink achieved a final price of $34.8 million — one of the highest per-carat valuations ever achieved for a diamond.
Today, it remains in private hands, its exact setting undisclosed. For collectors and connoisseurs, The Eternal Pink represents the perfect fusion of rarity, craftsmanship, and timeless allure. A jewel destined to be remembered as one of the century’s defining treasures.
